Welcome to 609 Beach Blvd, Unit 2 — a beautifully restored waterfront residence located along Hamilton’s iconic Beach Strip, offering a rare opportunity to live directly across from Lake Ontario with unobstructed water views, beach access, and scenic walking trails right outside your door. Known historically as the “Holiday House Apartments,” this property carries a rich piece of Hamilton Beach history dating back to 1905. Originally established as a summer retreat operated by The Girls Friendly Society Holiday House, the building welcomed young women seeking rest and relaxation by the lake and later played an important role housing returning WWII servicemen after being converted into apartments in the 1940s. Over the decades, the property became a well-known fixture on Beach Boulevard before undergoing a major restoration to bring the historic building back to life while preserving its character and waterfront charm. This bright and spacious 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit has been completely renovated back to the studs with high-end modern finishes throughout. The unit faces the lake, allowing natural light to pour through the space while creating a peaceful lakeside atmosphere rarely found in Hamilton rentals. Inside, you’ll find a custom-designed kitchen and bathroom, quartz countertops, brand-new stainless steel appliances, updated flooring, and completely upgraded electrical, plumbing, siding, windows, and exterior doors. The unit also includes new in-building washer and dryer access, a private deck area, and shared use of a large backyard space perfect for enjoying the waterfront setting.
