Fall in love with this irresistibly charming, west-facing Plum Island cottage-a treasured family retreat for decades and the sweetest setting for relaxed island living. The inviting front porch offers a front-row seat to Plum Island's spectacular sunsets, while the basin is just steps away for launching a kayak or canoe. The ocean and sandy dune beach are only one street away. Inside, two full walls of windows fill the cheerful, open-concept L-shaped living and dining area with amazing natural light and create an inviting space for gathering after a day at the beach. The thoughtfully designed kitchen maximizes cabinet, pantry and dish storage, while three cozy bedrooms and a 3/4 bathroom with shower provide comfortable accommodations. All windows throughout the home are newer vinyl replacements. The property also offers private outdoor space, a storage shed and parking for six cars. The cottage is currently enjoyed seasonally, from approximately April through November. A newer ductless mini-split in the main living area provides heating and cooling but is not considered sufficient for the coldest winter months. The water heater is also newer. Former propane heating units have been disconnected and the propane tanks removed. A vintage plug-in washing machine remains in working condition; with clothesline space in the backyard. You will have an exciting array of possibilities: enjoy this delightful cottage just as it is, thoughtfully improve and update it for year-round living, or explore the potential to create an entirely new island home, much like the recently rebuilt contemporary residence next door. Any renovations, expansion or new construction would be subject to all applicable permitting and approvals. Lovingly held by the same family for generations, this enchanting island haven is now ready for you to begin living your dreams at the beach. Easy to show!
