ABOUT THE LOCATION ???? We live in a very safe, walkable neighborhood in the heart of Central LA. We’re walking distance to the D Line, plus tons of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and parks. The location makes commuting in pretty much any direction around LA relatively easy. We’re about an 8-minute drive from The Grove and 5 minutes from LACMA. ABOUT US ???? We’re two women who both work from home and share the house with our two very friendly dogs! We’re social and love spending time with friends, but during the workweek we generally prioritize having a calm, comfortable home environment. The two of us often hang out together in the living room at night watching TV, playing the Switch, or just catching up. We’d love to find someone friendly and comfortable being part of the household while, of course, still having their own life and space! OUR HOME VIBE ???? You’ll have your own private bedroom with plenty of natural light and a walk-in closet. Our home has 1.5 bathrooms. The main bathroom has the shared shower, while the two of us also have access to a Jack-and-Jill-style half bath. You’re always more than welcome to use the half bath if the main bathroom is occupied! Our biggest philosophy is simply to be considerate, communicative, and clean up after yourself within reason. We do our best to keep communal spaces tidy and have a light chore rotation for shared areas, but we also understand that life happens and a home is meant to be lived in. A few dishes in the sink are never the end of the world- we just ask that everyone handles their own mess within a reasonable amount of time. We split shared household expenses like Wi-Fi, utilities, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, and other miscellaneous items everyone uses. We have a shared Costco membership and find this makes these expenses much cheaper! THE DOGS ???????? Our two dogs, Polly and Lily, are both sweet rescues who love meeting new people! Lily is a calm, gentle greyhound whose favorite activity is sleeping the day away, while Polly is a spunky little terrier mix who has a lot to say... but mostly just because she would like your attention, pets, and the occasional cuddle. We each take primary responsibility for our own dog, so you would not be expected to provide regular pet care. Every once in a while, if one of us isn’t home, we may ask for a small favor like letting them out into the backyard, but this would be occasional and never an expectation of ongoing responsibility. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR ✨ Someone kind, friendly, communicative, and considerate who wants a home that feels comfortable and lived-in. We’d love someone who enjoys a social and friendly household but also respects everyone’s space, work schedules, and the calmer rhythm of weeknights.
