1930s New Englander in Jonesport, Maine a€” three bedrooms, one bath, largely original, and close to the water. This is an older coastal home that still reads as the house it was built to be. Dating to the 1930s, it is a classic New Englander in form, with three bedrooms and one bathroom and much of the original character left in place. It is an old house that has kept its bones, its layout, and a good deal of its period detail. The setting is the practical part of the appeal. Public boat access is within walking distance, and a public beach is nearby, so you are not depending on a private dock or shoreline to get on the water. There is a water view from the property. Jonesport is a working Downeast harbor town, oriented around the water, the islands, and the fishing fleet. This property fits that setting: an almost-original 1930s three-bedroom, one-bath home, walkable access to a public launch and beach, a modest water view, and a barn that is part of the opportunity rather than part of the finish.
