The Samuel Perkins House Built in 1737, over eight decades before Kennebunkport took its name, the historic Samuel Perkins House is a remarkable early Colonial residence holding nearly three centuries of history within its walls. Upon entering the home, one feels as though they are stepping back in time. Natural light moves through gracious rooms distinguished by the craftsmanship of another era. Wide-board pumpkin pine floors, paneled walls, period millwork and six fireplaces speak to the authenticity of its early New England origins. Offering four bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths across nearly 3,000 square feet, the residence retains the character, patina and architectural details shaped by time. Beyond the house, the expansive.83-acre in-town parcel feels like a sanctuary. Stately red oaks, established perennial gardens and mature grounds create an unexpected sense of privacy, while an access trail leads to frontage on Cabot Cove. All of this lies within one of Maine's most coveted coastal communities, within walking distance of Dock Square and Colony Beach. Offered as-is and in need of restoration, the Samuel Perkins House presents a rare opportunity to thoughtfully restore an important piece of Kennebunkport history and carry it forward for another generation. This amazing property is located 1.5 hours north of Boston, 30 minutes south of Portland and a short walk from the Kennebunk River, fabulous restaurants and shops, and minutes drive to Cape Porpoise, multiple pristine beaches, and some of the best golf courses in the state.
