Available April 1st, I have one unfurnished, private room for rent on the 2nd floor of a house located in Toronto's Junction neighbourhood.The area is cute, clean, safe, and has many interesting local businesses, bars, and restaurants. There is easy access to the TTC since the house is close to bus stops for the 40 and 26 and is near Dundas West Station. The closest grocery stores (FreshCo., Loblaws, and NoFrills) are only a short walk/bus ride away.The room is 144 sq. ft. with large windows. The sliding door opens and overlooks the backyard, but there is not a balcony. The closet is big with varied storage spaces/cubicles. It is usually quiet enough, but there is poor sound isolation so sometimes you'll be able to hear the apartment downstairs and they will be able to hear you. The kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared with myself and one dog. The backyard is shared with the other tenants in the house and one other small dog; however, the deck is only for the tenants on the 1st floor. The garden and rest of the yard is available for use.Rent is all inclusive (heat, water, hydro, air conditioning, dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV/internet, etc.). Parking is an addition of $100/month to the rent. Smoking is not permitted.About MeI'm a 31-year-old woman living with my 5-year-old, medium-sized dog and Im looking for a roommate with whom I can get along and be friends with. I have a queer/poly lifestyle and enjoy having guests over, but not excessively. I work from home Mon-Fri from 9-5 pm and am usually at home otherwise but will go out a few nights during the week/weekends. My dog is incredibly friendly, very quiet, and well behaved, but cannot live with other adult dogs and I'd prefer no more pets in the house as she generally doesn't get along with other animals. However, she has had very minimal issues while living with one cat for the past year, so I'm open to having another around the house. The room for rent is in the main apartment on the 2nd floor and my room is above it in the attic. I'm laid back about noise, guests, and am 420-friendly, but my room has good enough sound isolation that we will be unlikely to disturb each other anyway. I also don't mind some mess but would prefer that shared spaces are kept mostly clean. The environment is not loud but it's also not the quietest. I do like to play music or watch TV when I'm at home doing chores and other stuff, but I'm generally a quiet person myself during working hours and am respectful of others' preferences. The apartment below can be heard easily since sound travels between our units, but they are also laid back about sound. Im on good terms with them and we respect each others noise needs if requested.
